The Lincoln Hotel is situated in the Achimota area of Accra which has the advantage of being only about 20 minutes from Kotoka International Airport depending on the traffic, yet is located in one of the more attractive & sedate areas of Ghana's capital. Pick up from the airport by the hotel is free.

Another advantage of staying at a hotel like the Lincoln is that it isn't like one of those large corporate hotels where you can get a distance feel from staff as if " its the hotel that is doing you a favor by staying in their hotel " .
In contrast at the moderate sized Lincoln there is a family run feel about it, and staff are there to help your stay be as enjoyable as possible; in fact the hotels mission statement is " to be a quality-driven hospitality hotel, with empowered staff providing excellent service".

The Hotel has 27 rooms including single bed , king-size, twin and triple bed rooms, which have card access locks instead of keys , air-conditioning, colour satellite TV, tiled flooring, modern decor with a light clean and airy feel to them.
As can be seen from the above list , the room prices are very reasonable & include breakfast; the prices reflect the fact that the hotel is near to the airport but not right on the door step and doesn't charge an effective premium for being next to the airport like they do in the airport residential area.
There is an elegant main restaurant which serves Continental, Chinese and Ghanaian dishes, also a cocktail bar, and there are a couple of computer terminals for those who wish to catch up with their emails; laundry services are also available
For the visitor who would like to do some light exercise but doesn't want to sweat it out in a gym there is the Achimota Golf club which is only about 8 minutes away by taxi or 25 minutes if you prefer to walk.
The Achimota Golf Club which has an 18 hole course, is one of the finest and oldest Golf Clubs in Ghana, and was founded by some of the teaching staff of the Achimota school who originated from Scotland. The golf course is in fact situated on the outer boundary of the Achimota school
The golf club is open to none members & has golf clubs for rental, the prices involved are quite reasonable; for those who wish to improve their swing professional coaches are on hand to give tuition if you need it.
Another place of interest near the hotel is the center for endangered primates which was set up to help survival of apes in the nearby forest area. Here you can follow walking trails where indigenous wild birds and animals can be spotted.
All in all the Lincoln is an excellent hotel in a quiet residential area , where you can effectively half your accommodation costs for the same quality as compared to hotels in the airport residential area, and has one of the best golf courses in Accra on its door step!
