Hansonic front façade, view from road

The Hotel Hansonic has 29 bedrooms and is situated at Dansoman junction.

The main entrance and access to the rooms is recessed back from the main road , which probably explained why the rooms were quiet with no obvious traffic noise

My wife and I stayed at the hotel about three years ago and got a double room of size 15 feet by 23 feet for $25 a night. The room had remote control air conditioning, TV with Ghana and a German Station, fly screens over the louver windows, and an on suite shower room. The room was simple, functional, clean and no insect infestation (I'm a qualified Entomologist as well as other things!).

The Hotel leaflet I got from Sophie at reception describes the stay experience as "affordable comfort"; actually I think that was a fair statement.

The hotel leaflet stated an internet facility, I couldn't confirm this as I had no need for internet access at the time. Sophie who said she was the owner was friendly as was all the staff I came in contact with. We had breakfast in the downstairs bar consisting of Nescafe coffee, omelet, and toast for $2 each. Generally good value for money three years ago

Down the road is a small market, where there is a newspaper stall, and fruit stalls. Also not far down the road is Kaneshie market, where you can buy just about anything see Makola & Kaneshie

Rooms -Bed & BreakfastCost per night(US Dollar)
Single Air conditioned room $35
Double Room with air conditioning $50
Double room, no air con, but ceiling fan $30
Single room, no air con, but with ceiling fan $25
Single Budget Room( shared bath) $10
Double Budget(shared bath) $20
Triple Budget(shared bath) $25

I have recently checked prices for 2009 and got my wife to double check . The hotel is classified as a "budget " single rooms in 2009 are now 17 New Cedis and a double 25 New Cedis.

I owe them a bit of an apology since i misunderstood their prices and was misquoting them at the beginning of this year. The hotel then, considering its prices and facilities is still extremely good value for money especially when compared to hotels in the airport residential area.A Summary of prices can be seen adjacent.
