The Green Oak Hotel established in 2008 is located in Lokko road (parallel to 28th February road ) in the Accra district of Osu. The recently built hotel has 12 rooms has modern decor & all requirements for a comfortable stay.
Cantonments Road near where the hotel is located, going in a north direction from the junction with Lokko road, is also know as "Oxford St" & is Accra's equivalent to West End in London.
Osu is a busy tourist hub and thus the Green Oak Hotel is in about the best location you can get for those wishing to take in the attractions of Accra, and there are many sights to take in situated in a relatively small area.
Although the hotel is near to a busy tourist area, the hotel itself is quiet inside the rooms ,so sleep disturbance will not be a problem. The hotel is great for couples on their own, but is also suitable for couples with children.

For an example of tourist attractions about ten minutes down the road is Kwame Nkrumah Memorial park , and next to it the cultural center. See see places of interest.
For historical buildings to visit only a stones throw away is Osu Castle, also known as Fort Christiansborg or simply the Castle, and was the former seat of government in Ghana until the end of John Kufuor term of office, and dates back to the 16th century. For the musically adventurous you can even take drumming lessons just of Oxford street.
The hotel restaurant is open from 6am for breakfast until 10pm serving continental and Local Ghanaian dishes, but if you want to eat out or go to a night spot you are fairly spoilt for choice. For instance the editor can recommend Dynasty Chinese restaurant at the junction of 5th Lane & Cantonments Rd(AKA Oxford St) who had lunch with his wife & mother-in-law about a year ago. The mother-in-law didn't have anything negative to say so it must be very good !

The rooms are air-conditioned and en-suite, with satellite TV , and Wi-Fi and free internet access. The room rates are in the ball park zone for price as other hotels in the airport residential area; the Green Oak is only about 20 minutes from the airport depending upon the traffic and the hotel can pick you up from the airport.
You couldn't really be in a better location as a tourist, so taking everything else into consideration the Green Oak comes out top end among the moderate size up market hotels and is excellent value for money.
