Location: On the way to Kokrobite beach, take the road to Winneba. Just as you reach the outskirts of the west side of Accra on the left there is a sign post for Aplaku, take this road. You should pass on the left the Liberty Hotel, and a big water tank on the right. Carry on down the road you should see the Crystal Atlantic Resort on the right.

Tennis court
The resort is called Crystal Atlantic "resort" but Crystal Atlantic "invasion of the body snatchers"might have been more appropriate.
Something is not right at Atlantic. The site is very large and has the potential to be a center park like in the U.K and Europe.
I visited with some business contacts around midday on a Saturday to have lunch and a drink. I had a general look around but didn't look inside one of the apartments. For that time of day i found it strange that no children were running about and the areas between the apartments as you can see were deserted. The tennis court was deserted and there was only one person in the pool.
Swimming pool
When we went into the restaurant which was empty. We asked for kebabs but were offered a choice between either Tuna Salad or Chicken & rice. For beer it was either Gulder or Guinness . While were there a couple and their two children came in and sat down but after a couple of words with the waitress walked out- very strange, there were more staff than customers.
Main Restaurant Crystal Atlantic
My business contacts weren't too impressed either, i wasn't totally surprised to be honest since I sent an email to a link I found for Crystal Atlantic a month or two before we went out to Ghana and offered to put them in the database.
The courteous reply came from South Africa and mentioned that as a company they had been involved with the place over several months trying to bring up standards generally and with the management and with the staff. They stated that they were unable to get the place in shape and so pulled out.
I guess at the moment there is a crisis of good management & leadership. I can see though that the place still has the potential to be a tourist destination if someone is willing to grasp the Bull by the Horns.
