The map shows the area and location of the land which is on the outskirts of Accra in the Weija district, just past the village of Old Aplaku; looking at the map the kokrobite road is off the main kasoa road which heads out of Accra towards the Cape Coast.

The junction of Kasoa road and the kokrobite road is commonly known as the " old barrier" since before Rawlings time the area was designated actually outside Accra & was technically in the Cape Coast region. There was therefore a Police barrier checking people coming from Cape Coast to enter the capital city
